About Me

“I wanted a way that my children, grandchildren and I could revisit a chapter in our family's collective memory.”

- Louis Blair (Founder & CEO)

My name is Louis Blair, and I started DocumentMe a few years ago with a simple goal in mind—capture important chapters in family history to be visited time and time again. Losses in the family are so often dominated by talks of finances and properties, but I wanted a way to use my talents to celebrate the lives that deserve to be celebrated.

I’ve been in the television and film industry for years, working primarily as a Director of Photography and the Director of Top Notch Productions (London) LTD, with my main passion being the medium of documentary film. Through work in the UK on factual reports, interviews, and advertisements, along with my documentation of the civil wars in Ukraine and Iraq, and Directing the Photography of the award-winning ‘The Boy Who Made a Museum' (Foreign Press Association Member TV & Radio Story Of The Year 2018), I’ve only fortified my belief in the power of documentary.

With my faith in the medium as strong as ever, I decided to channel my skills into creating bespoke family documentaries for those in their golden years. This way, people can learn more from and continue their relationships with lost loved ones, in a very real way.
